Pascal’s recommendations
The Apostrophe in Paris is very happy to welcome the gay clients to its hotel. Located near Luxembourg’s gardens and Saint Germain des Pres, Apostrophe is also known as the poem hotel as art and poetry are a part of the concept.
Pascal, the receptionist of Apostrophe Hotel shares you some addresses from his own knowledge for a weekend of gay friendly experience in Paris.
It all begins with a cocktail in the lively Spanish tapas bar Les Pietons. Here everything is scrumptious, but beware that this is only an appetizer, you can still let yourself be tempted by the pescaditos fritos, small fried fish which is almost like eating potato chips or try the traditional roasted red peppers, marinated in olive oil: pimientos de la frontera. The employees there are all Hispanic and the festive atmosphere is present without any doubt!

For dinner, it’s easy, just cross the street and go to Le Pavé. You will enjoy the traditional French cuisine, terrines and homemade fries . But their speciality is the Aubrac meat, prestigious and high quality, colored and tasty, with a grain of meat recognized till the very end. The rates are reasonable for the neighborhood. For example, a Thick-cut steak, sauce, home-made fries is at € 14.60.
Advantage of the place: a heated terrace!

After a good meal, go and stretch your legs. Here I propose a night club for customers of all ages and music varied: l’Insolite.
The place is rather small, so do not come here too late, because it is quickly getting crowded. It is a place to meet people, where everyone is very friendly!

After a pleasant night at Apostrophe hotel, visit the Sunday morning flea market at Porte de Vanves. Just forget the flea markets at Clignancourt, with prohibitive tariffs, the real fleas where all Parisians go are those at the 14th arrondissement.
These are the only intra muros flea market in Paris. They take place on Saturday and Sunday from 7 o’clock in the morning and for some merchants, even in the afternoon. What’s the point of sleeping in the morning at Paris. The weekend is also made for you to discover Paris.
