Indian summer comes to an end. No more lounging on the terraces or in the parks, now is the time for arts and culture …

Like every year at this time, Parisian museums compete with each other imagination and offer us an array of wonderful exhibitions. There is something for every everyone taste: “Giacometti and the Etruscans” at the ‘Pinacotheca’ of Paris- Place de la Madeleine, “Edvard Munch – the modern eye” at the Pompidou Centre, “Forbidden City” at the Louvre. We cannot forget to mention the FIAC at the end of the month. Truly, you’re spoiled by such variety of choices. However, the ‘Apostrophe hotel has handpicked two exhibitions just for you. First, “Favorite” the beautiful STEIN collection at the Grand Palais and a new ‘ light’ on Cezanne at the Luxembourg Museum.

Cezanne, “Father of us all” in the words of Picasso, was the precursor of the ‘Avant-garde’ movement. Contrary to popular belief, he did not live in Provence. Between his many trips to Paris, Auvers-sur-Oise, and Fontainebleau, he will visit Pissarro, Renoir and Monet. He said that he was inspired by the landscapes and views of the capital. The Musee du Luxembourg presents 80 major works including some especially loaned by the Musee d’Orsay.
